<p>The power of the Highlander varies by model. The LE comes standard with a four-wheel drive 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine. It has a six-speed automatic transmission. There is also an option for an all-wheel drive model that comes with a 3.5-liter V6 and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The LE Plus, XLE, SE, and Limited have a standard four-wheel drive 3.5-liter V6 engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It also has an all-wheel drive option. The hybrid models have an all-wheel drive 3.5-liter V6 ECVT engine. The Limited also has an opportunity to add the platinum package to the engine. </p>

<p>The Highlander has the performance to back up its engine. It is an ultra low emissions vehicle. The gas models have a 19.2-gallon tank, ensuring your family has enough fuel to complete your adventure. The ride is smooth with a double wishbone-style suspension in the LE and Limited. The SE has a sporty wishbone suspension. The LE has a towing capacity of 1,500 pounds. That increases to 5,000 pounds for the SE and Limited trims.</p>

<p>Once the driver and passengers climb inside, creature comforts become the focus. The Entune audio system is standard. XLE owners also receive a Sirus XM system. SE and Limited owners receive an advanced Entune system. Don't fret about keeping your electronics charged on the road. The LE and LE Plus both have five USB ports on board. There are also five USB ports in the Hybrid LE. </p> <p>Eight people can enjoy a ride in the Highlander LE, LE Plus, XLE, and SE. The seating drops down to seven in the Limited and Hybrid Limited. Customers who choose the Limited enjoy heated front row seats. XLE and SE owners enjoy leather-trimmed seats in both the first and second rows. </p>
